Well, between snow and weather and holidays and relatives i didn't go when i wanted to FINALLY got to them at ABI.

Nice people! Kinda in the boonies but that lets you test fire outside for as long as you can stand it, (Pards, below 32 i don't like)

Long story short, i got TWO!

One cartridge and one percussion. They're pretty , work good an lock up and are tighter than factory, means no shake an rattle.

I'm a HAPPY cowboy! Pics later when i can get camera away from the wife. Hookay, i TRIED to make a photo of the percussion cylinder, but its too shiny! Heres what it looks like but not in my gun.http://advancedballisticsindustries.com/index.php?p=1_2_Products

I've seen links posted to that outfit.   Hadn't heered of anyone aquiring any of their products.  Are they actually better than others that are available ?   :)
Beware the man with one gun, he probably knows how to use it.

They have them both ways depending whatever you like, i took the free floating. I didn't ask, but whats your opinion? Any advantage to one over the other?

I like the spring loaded fireing pins myself ...like the Kirst conversion uses ...
The free floating pins on my R&D will stick down sometimes after fireing ...and I`ve had to replace a few fireing pins on it .
I`ve never had any problems with my Kirst cylinder with the spring loaded fireing pin .
I was hopeing someone would make the R&D type conversion with the spring loaded pins .

As i mentioned, they do have the spring loaded, i just didn't knew it mattered and i would have had to wait another day to get one like that and you know how it is, kid in a candy shop!

Haven't used the R+D seen them and the back plate of mine has six pins like that.

Oh! What was REAL trick, i saw (Didn't buy i only had enough for the two) they have a pivot out style that come with an ejector rod an all. Saw them on a Ruger and a Remmie, got to handle both, don't know if NIFTY passes as a cowboy term but they were!

Way it worked (If i ain't boring anyone) you shoot six, pull out the rod in front to pivot it out just past the rear not all down like a double action, clears a back plate and lets you punch brass out load and back in no loose parts! An answerin a question bout frame modification a big fat zero. (Thats what i DON'T like about the conversions usin the Ruger rammer), three parts there, a cylinder in two parts that five and now you gotta empty and load, now how many hands is that? ::) Can i get a octopus wearin a cowboy hat smiley? Feel like i gotta have a bolt on shelf on my gunbelt just to hold parts!

You KNOW what my next buys gonna be, right? ;D

Ya know, i think so! I've got pards with R+D and Kirsts, this one has smoother brighter chambers then them and they told me at ABI that i'm not limited to 'Cowboy' light loads in the Ruger OR a Remmie. Don't wanna go on an on (Less i can get a price break?) :) but after seein the place and GOODIES and some real facts+meat i'm sold an i torture Lincoln for every last gasp! ;D

A pard gave me some Buffalo .45 loads the real heavy thumpers and tha brass jus falls out.

Oh Boy! One thing they said, tha chambers are minimum spec so sloppy loadin dont go. They said if you have a loadin or resizing die problem they'd help.

Wolfgang

Thanks for all information.  Sounds like good products.  Just not something that I'm in need of.

Good shootin', . . . .  :)

I wrote the company an email yesterday about the Remington cylinders ....I recieved a quick reply .
I`ll have to try one of the Remington conversions with spring loaded fireing pins , sounds like good folks with good products .
They are still working on the site and don`t have the Remington cylinders up yet . said they`d send me some pics in my email as soon as possible ....
220.00 sounds like a good price for the cylinder ....my choice floating pins or spring loaded .
