Just saying hi, I'm not a CAS shooter, just a fan of the firearms. I just ordered my first 1873. Anyone close to Jacksonville, NC area like to shoot, give a shout.

Well you went and done it now! I ordered my first about two years ago, and can't count how many I own now. They are sure addicting. Consider yourself warned!  Glad to have ya as part of the crowd pard! Which 73 did you order? Brand? Barrel length? Grip style? Finish?

Howdy Kid, I'm just down the road from you in Sneads Ferry. We shoot at Flatwoods Cowboys (just outside of Jax) or Old Hickory Regulators in Rocky Mount on the 1st Sat. 2nd is Sat Buccaneer Range Regulators in Wilmington, 3rd Sat Cross Creek Cowboys in Wagram. On the last Sat we do CFDA in Wilmington. We are talking about going to Flatwoods Sat, shoot me a PM if you want to shoot and I'll bring an extra set of guns, we're still looking at the weather (low 25 high 42). Got a 44/40 73 you can use, but Black Powder is all I have loaded up, don't worry it'll only leave a grin. If you want to shoot smokeless (passing fad heathen powder) I've got a Marlin .38. Check with philrezac@yahoo.com got all my stuff from him,it was even cheaper for me to do out of state,here in Ca. most just want to break ya..Phil is a shooter and a dealer.The one you got is the Riflemans rifle he shot the 44-40 on the tv series.
