Jay's must be working on clearing out some inventory!   ;)

Yesterday I picked up my Schofield in .45LC.  Fit and finsh look good.  They have the "shiny" faux ivory grips.  I'm not so sure I like them (too close to mother of pearl; I've got nothing against pimps in New Orleans whorehouses...I just don't want to look like one  :P ).

I saw it in the Jay's P'cola store over New Years and it was sale priced $200 less than the website price.  When I got back home I ordered it.

Got a bit of a surprise, too, when it came to the local FFL shop in a Flat Rate USPS box.  I was under the impression that handguns could not be sent via USPS for any reason.  I was wrong; at least FFL to FFL transmittals are allowed.  That's good because the Flat Rate boxes look like a "good deal" in many circumstances.

USPS shipping between FFL holders is 'far' cheaper than prices added on to gun sales where the buyer's involved.

If you have to ship it to the manufacturer - ask them if they'll send you their shipping label - that'll save you some money.

Vaya,
