Been going to British Western Shooting Society page to get info on stopping gas leakage on 58 Rem Cyl..  Can't find the info.  Anyone know where it is?

From which end of the cylinder are talking about? I'm not sure what you mean by stopping gas leakage.

Uhh ... no disrespect to you or our British pards, but you can't stop gas leakage (blow-by) on a revolver ... you can only minimize it.

Ya can with a Nagant, . . if you use original ammunition, . . . but while a neat system it didn't accomplish enough to make any real improvement.   :)
Beware the man with one gun, he probably knows how to use it.

Sorry - I forgot the Nagant.

But not an 1858/1861/1863 New Model Army (or Navy) revolver.  Or nearly all others - up to and including today's revolvers.

           Thanks for the reminder, Wolfgang!

Happy Holidays and Fellicitations:

I think our friend is interested in reducing gas cutting and fouling.... and one can find a lengthy discussion of the "Remington Cylinder Bushing", aka "Remington Gas Ring"
here:
http://www.cascity.com/forumhall/index.php/topic,18133.0.html

both of our esteemed colleagues Pettifogger and Flint have done these additions in order to minimize fouling on the cylinder face/pin.

one can find more on such modifications on Flints page here: http://flints-shop.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=5&Itemid=8

hope this helps
