Was in a Gander Mountain today and all they had were this caps.
Has anyone seen or used these caps?
If you have, how do they compare to other brands and sizes?
I use tresso nipples and have no idea how they would fit.
Could have bought a tin to try but I don't need any caps that I can't use no matter what the price.
Remington #10 seem to be pretty scarce right now.

I don't know the answer, Doc, but I have about a dozen tins of them.  Bought them at Walmart last year after the last deer season was over.   They were clearancing them at 75% off, so at a $1.50 a box, I bought all they had left.

I find that Ruger nipples fit Uberti threads.  No. 11s work pretty good with them in my Uberti 1851 Navy and 1862 Police.

Ahh, but which number 11's.   There is no industry standardized size, so #11 Remingtons are not the same size as #11 CCI's.   Now we have a Winchester branded #11, that I would suspect is made by one of the companies making the other two.   I just haven't gotten around to trying them on any pistols yet to see where they run.   A few years ago Walmart told all their hunting sporting goods suppliers that they wanted everything branded Winchester.   Since the packaging is identical, I bet they are the Remington caps in a different label.

Well what size they are who knows.
And seeing as they are the same price as remingtons I beleave I'll waite till the remmys get back in stock.
For what you [44caliberkid] paid for they I would have bought them to.
They would have fit something even one of my old cap locks.

Whats up with everyone being out of the Remmy caps?
End of the year maybe?

I read somewhere that the Winchester caps are made by CCI for the Winchester label.  I tried a tin, seems they might even be a bit larger than CCI #11.  They really felt loose on my guns.  Had a few blow off after firing.  I still use factory nipples, never have gotten around to ordering Treso's.

I've been forced kinda by supply,,to use some of the new Winchester caps. They seem to blow/fall off the nipples a lot more than Remingtons..but also seem to 'fragment' into little pleces less that CCI's....maybe.  Really can't tell much difference honestly. Neither CCI's or Winchesters seem to work as well as the Remingtions.

This 'dry up' of shooting/reloading supplies is a frustration to say the least.

What kinda puzzles me is...shotgun ammo/reloading  primers/supplies,,,are plentiful. Do survivalist and folks worried about the liberal politics not horde shotgun supplies ?
