Howdy! I'm looking at doing a conversion on my Remington. While my rifle is a .45 Colt I'm sorely tempted to order a Kirst Konverter in .45 ACP. I plan to use Black powder so my question is how well will this work? I have thousand or so pieces of .45 ACP brass so this is what makes it tempting. I've experimented and it seems the case will hold my 24 grain bp load with a 200 grain bullet and a heavy compression. I'm hoping this is close enough to the origional load so that the point of aim won't change. So, anybody else doing this?

I use the .45 Special with a full case of powder and a round ball seated just below its circumference with a light roll crimp to make chambering easier.  Works great.  Use it for practice ammo in my Ruger ROAs.  Makes reloading a lot faster.  Same POA as my C&B load.  The .45 Special is the same length as the ACP.  The only difference is that it uses a .45 Colt rim.
