Howdy everyone, I just drifted into town so to speak, and have been checking around the NCOWS community the last day or two and I must say it looks like a place I'd like to hang my hat. I was just wondering if there might be a posse in the central Ohio area that I might be able to hook up with? Ottawa Creek Bill was kind enough to direct me to the Great Lakes Freight and Mining Company, but I was hoping to find something in the Columbus, OH area if possible.  ;)

triple w,

Welcome!

I'm not aware of on Ohio posse, but here is a map to current posse locations:

http://www.ncows.org/Posse%20Pages.htm

Starting a posse is not that difficult.  If you can find a handfull of like-minded shooters and a location to host your matches, you're 90% there.  Here's some details:  http://www.cascity.com/forumhall/index.php/topic,6249.0.html

BTW:  You'd be wise to travel over and enjoy a match or two with the pards at GLFMC.  I've had the pleasure of getting to know many of those gentlemen.  You'd be hard pressed to find better people to shoot with.

Thanks Pancho, looks like I'll have to put them on my to do list for sure. I might even know some pards in this area that I can try getting interested also.

Glad to have you here on the board with us. You may know Wilbur Rexroat and Rose Louise (of Big Irons fame  ;) ) from down around the Middletown area. They are long-time members and supporters of NCOWS and Great Lakes F&MC. I know we have several Ohio members, though I'm not sure who is in your specific area.

Don't be shy, the camp's up and stirring and the coffee's always hot.

Thanks Dave.
I can't say that I've had the pleasure of meeting any of these folks, but I hope to in the near future. I also hope some of the folks from the Ohio Valley Vigilantes  may be interested, if not already involved with NCOWS.
