Anybody here ever slugged a Marlin '94 CB .357/.38?  I need to get the bore of my wife's, and I can't find a suitable piece of soft lead! Drat!  :-\

Her's has the 20" octagonal barrel with the deep Ballard-style rifling.

Howdy

I ain't slugged my wife's, but I load regular .358 diameter bullets for it and it does just fine with them. I normally load Moulton Lead's 125 grain truncated cones for her Marlin.
That's bad business! How long do you think I'd stay in operation if it cost me money every time I pulled a job? If he'd pay me that much to stop robbing him, I'd stop robbing him.

Thanks, Driftwood.  I got a sizing die for it. Shoulda waited to slug it but wanted to go ahead and start casting.  I got a .358 die. Figure that's close enough fer cowboy.  ;)

JD, Go to your local sporting goods store with your mike or calipers and buy some egg sinkers. They work fine for all barrel and cylinder slugging. Later David

Thanks, David. I've used them before and still have some, but they're too big (got 'em for the .45's).  I can't get out and about right now because of a physical ailment, so I'm hoping someone's done the work for me.  ;)

take a hammer and slowly tap the sinker down to a close size
