Too often, this holliday tends to be a downer because we all think we should be surrounded by a Norman Rockwell-ish scene for the Hollidays ....

I volunteer in a soup kitchen that daily reminds me of what I have; it keeps me from getting into such a pity-party at this time of year ... which I am really good at doing ...

I know where I am sleeping tonight. I know how I will stay warm and dry. To alot of the people I serve, this is not an automatic thing ...

So here is wishing you warmth, a household to live in regardless of its shape and definition, and God's love to wrap around us.
