Do any of you here know what a S&W New Model #3 RUSSIAN is?  I know what I thought it was but some may not agree.

As far as i know, there is a S&W Model 3 Russian, and there is a S&W New Model 3 chambered in .44 Russian. Never heard of a New Model 3 Russian though.

This description is referring to the Smith and Wesson #3 Russian 3rd model which was the last variation and referred to as the New Model Russian.  I have believed this for some time and it is backed up by Fjestad's BLUE BOOK OF GUN VALUES.

Note to all who order gun parts.  KNOW YOUR GUN! I have parts on their way back from France (with the typical French retort, etc) for this gun because the owner didn't research his revolver before ordering. This is the third time this has happened in the last year with Frenchmen and all with the same return proposal, ie. SEND ME EVERYTHING FREE. Not this time!
