Check you post on the Cavannaugh thread someting happened between chapter 9 and 10 looks like you came in half way through the chapter, it may be writers effect but I am not following the story line there.  Or it could just be senility on my part

I just finished reading the latest installment; Thanks Mr. Forty Rod.  I just had to laugh at myself, though - as I was reading the part where Rockwell is describing the demise of that poor boy by food, I found myself leaning across the desk toward the monitor, with my hands on the arms of the chair, much as Rockwell must have done to Billy; and then I hee-hawed at the outcome - sounds like something I'd like to have done myself. 

Good story.  More, PLEASE .

EP, that incident is based on at least two actual events, one was a newspaper man from back east who came to interview the "famous Danite avenging angel" in about 1871, the other was a rowdy who bit off more tnan he could chew in 1867-68.

Rockwell could be cold and vicious, but he did have a great sense of humor.
