I found this listed on Ebay and it reminded me of an idea I had a few years back, guess there are not that many original ideas left.  My thought was that one of the companies should come up with a head knife design that used interchangeable blades, kinda like a carpet blade in reverse.  Well this looks like someone may have offered something similar or perhaps extra blades could not be had????  Just struck me as an interesting old design.  http://cgi.ebay.com/Old-Cast-Iron-C-S-OSBORNE-CO-Round-Knife-Leather-Tool_W0QQitemZ400089652108QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item5d27339b8c

Howdy Bob,
Now that is downright cool. I wonder why nobody
makes a round knife with a replaceable blade, seems like a
right smart idea to me. That price ain't too bad either.

I have the very same handle but it says "Pat Apl'd For" and it had a hacksaw blade in it.

How neat WC, and this just might be the secret of this knife.  Pards wooden handle gets busted on the head knife, he notices the empty hacksaw handle and once again the mother of invention is visited upon.  After years of following Ebay this is the first like that I had seen so in my opinion its very likely that the cat is out of the bag on this one BUT I woulodnt be surprised if the price doesnt go crazy still!
