Timber Grain Effect

Howdy All,I am doing a carving that will be a wall plaque & I would like to do a timber grain effect for the background.I've looked for some links with no luck,any help or info will be appreciated.Feathers

WC is your man. He does a great job with that. Do a search for Banjo, then take a look the strap he made not too long ago. I think you'll find what your looking for.

Cowboy 316 did some nice grain on my End of the Trail wallet he made,little plaque with my name on it.. :)

Howdy WC,I did some practise on scrap over the weekend,starting to get what I want,did you bevel along the plank lines? I was'nt sure if this is right so I did both on my practice go.Thanks for the help. Feathers

The only thing I bevel is a border and if I have broken ends of the planks.
