Aside from the historical inaccuracy of the .357 Magnum, I invite your thoughts on the pressures this round produces and the capacity for the toggle design to handle factory smokeless loads for cowboy action shooting.

Not feeling really comfortable with the thoughts of factory smokeless .357's in a '73, I would not go there.  Another point to consider is that the velocity is very likely to EXCEED the limits imposed in our bylaws.  While the rifle may well survive, along with the shooter, it certainly is going to shorten the useful life of targets.  From a rifle the extra length as opposed to a handgun may well put it over the top. :( ???

Just get the Cowboy (factory) loads and no problem.

Although wishful thinking on some people's part, I am still above the frost line.  Officially divorced as of yesterday afternoon.  I know I said that 3 weeks ago, but I think it's real this time.  If I had any money, I would go out and get a new gun!!!!

Hey Deadwood Dave,
Just because you can outshoot me doesn't mean you have to go around poking people with a stick!!!
Be Safe, carry a big stick.
