To all my fellow Marines, and the Navy personnel who served with them, Happy 234th Birthday!

I hope all of you will be able to take a few minutes to observe our Birthday.  I will be attending a celebration ceremony at 0900 today in our building.

Thank you, Sir!
I don't feel a day over two hundred!
"There go those Nebraskans, and all hell couldn't stop them!"

Happy Birthday General, Ned-and all Marines!

The boys in the Historical Pageant wanted me to pose for a shot (and had fed me quite a few shots!) with them at the Birthday Ball. It's a scan, the photographer took standard photos, not digital.

One of my M1 Garands, a Winchester shown  in the lower left, was loaned for the occasion.

Unfortunately, our era is not represented here, but Marines sure do take their history seriously!

Happy birthday , Marines! Nice pic, Charles, but you need to work with those guys to get an outfit from our time period. Of course, the Lee-Navy might make it a bit of an expensive outfit.

Frenchie

I hope it was a great birthday today, ya wonderful bunch of jarheads!  ;)
Yours, &c.,

Pony Express, the Corps has them. Unfortunately, our era is obscure to most people.

They have a Lee Navy at Camp Lejeune just for the historical pageant. On the right reciever rail where all the fine words and patent dates are stamped, it's covered by a crudly electropenciled stock number. Makes me feel sick to see the thing.

Somebody must have let Bubba get ahold of the arms room keys!
