As part of BSA Venture Crew 1872 I attended the Muzzle Loading Artillery School at Historic Fort Washita in Oklahoma on September 12 & 13, 2009.  This is a link to a photo page for the Crew where I posted 112 photos of that event.  http://venturecrew1872.shutterfly.com/
We trained all day Saturday with some class sessions but mostly dry fire on the artillery pieces.  Sunday we had live fire (blanks) exercises.  I am now authorized as a connoneer for all 6 positions with Muzzle Loading Artillery.  Friday and Saturday we got to stay in the two story barracks.  Pretty cool place.

Very cool!  Our C.O. Jay from Austin Light Artillery was there too.

Jay, myself, Texas Sarge, Scooter and Jake Jones will be competing at Fort Sill next year on Memorial Day weekend.

Hi Capt Mac
Jay was one of the instructors at the school.  Hope your crew does well at the live shoot and I know you will have a Blast.   ;D  Col. Street told us all of the live shoot he conducts every year at Fort Sill on Memorial Day Weekend.
