MY DAMNED AGENT JUST VANISHED!!!

I'm getting ready to submit Legends, and all of a sudden I can't reach my agent. 

Gone.

Gonegonegonegone.

GONE!

Not even a web search turns him up.  All inquiries come back with the "page can't be displayed".  The phone is disconnected.  E-mails come back as undeliverable.

Fifty years in business and he's GONE!

Crap!  Well, back to the old drawing board.

Can you get a reference for another agent? somebody might have a suggestion or be able to steer you in the right direction.......Buck

The original died eleven years ago and his widow was bought out by a conglomerate.  I can only find one of the partners and he's not agenting any more...don't have a clue what happened to the other three.  West coast rep is gone, too.

may have found one about 90 minutes south of me.  I'll call Monday and see what I can find out.  maybe they're taking on new writers.

I may have a new agent already.

The Pelham Literary Ageny in El Cajon, CA specializes in new fiction writers.

The founder got started because he couldn't find an agent for his WESTERNS!!!!  He sold his first six or seven books himself, then went into business.

Waiting for details as I sit here with bated breath and sweaty palms. (Did you ever see a tree sweat?  GROSS!)
