To those of you who purchased a copy of "THE HENRY RIFLE", the author Les Quick passed away a few days ago, after a lengthy  battle with prostate cancer.  He was a long time friend and I will miss him, in the years to come.  Prayers to Jan and the boys.

Adios,
Buck

I am assuming this is the same Les and Jan Quick who did so much sterling work for the Colt Collectors Association. If so then my condolences go out to Jan and her family. I had the pleasure of meeting them both on a number of occasions at CCA shows and they are "nice people".

I was able to purchase his Henry Rifle book, which is by the way FANTASTIC.    RIP Les Quick,

Les was a Life Member, former president, vice president and board member of the Colt Collectors Association.  He was also a member of the American Society of Arms Collectors Association, Life Member of the Texas Gun Collectors Association and the Winchester Arms Collectors Association.  He held a position as Life member, former vice president and board member of the Winchester Club of America.  He and Jan have spent many hours at our house looking at and talking about antique guns, as well as many other topics.  As a collector, he was a prominant figure in the study of American made antique firearms.  I don't think he ever did anything "half-way".
