My new Wild Bunch holster for ME! I rarely get to make anything for me anymore, so this was a treat. My old one was a piece of junk, knocked it out in an hour a few years ago, this one is much nicer.

SLIM like the tooling BUT what I really like is the color. Great job. KT

Thanks, it's Tandy Chocolate Cherry. The computer changes it just a bit, but it is close. I had wanted the middle to be a little lighter but the antiquing bled a bit. The newer water based dyes don't stay put as well as the old oil based ones, but they are no longer avilable in California, so I do the best I can.

Slim, everything about that holster is first rate. Is that a small Barry King Shell stamp that you used? Whatever it was, you sure did a nice job with the stamping. JD

The tool is an old Crafttool 710. I buy old ones when I find them, they are usually a bit sharper than the new ones. The small makers mark is from Grey Ghost Graphics, he did a heck of a job on it. It was smaller than I wanted, my fault, but it has turned out to be just right for many jobs.

That looks nice, Slim. I like the stamping and with that color, it is a good look. I'll bet that really looks outstanding in the sunlight. You know, the way those water-based dyes bleed, one could plan ahead and get some nice effects.

Very nicely done.My leather Mentor sandy Morrissey, taught me how to do that stamping pattern , but he made his own stamps, and he made one for me.Dave

He calls it the Faux snakeskin pattern, as he is into traditional carving and tooling and not into exotic inlay's like me.I still use this alot  and with some creative dyeing can look pretty cool.

Very cool sheaths, Dave. I like the faux snakeskin look. Thanks for the peek at the stamp, too. I'll definitely make one of those.
