As some of you know my Mother hasn't been well lately, compression fractures just while she's sitting in one spot!

She's been in the hospitol for 2 days and it looks like I'm gonna have to move her to a nursing home soon. She's resisting that with all she's got, it breaks my heart.

Please say a prayer or keep a good thought.

Ned, I have a 93 year old woman in our church who is experiencing the same thing. I did some reading about compression fractures, and they are very common in older women, but quite painful. Bernadine needs to be in a care facility of some sort, but refuses to go. She lives alone in the house she's occupied since 1961. Her husband die about 5 years ago, a wonderful man she misses very much. She has a daughter in her 60's who does all she can, but she has to work, and can't be with her all the time. It's very frustrating for Elane, and her mother. I get calls from both of them quite often, so it's like it's my own mom I'm dealing with

Members of our church do everything we can to help, but she lives quite a ways a way from our town. We have people who go out and get her for church every Sunday. She hasn't driven in years, thank God!

I will be praying, and will ask our prayer people to pray for your mom and you. I took care of my mom the last year of her life, and she died in my home, with me at her side, so brother, I can relate. Hang in there, God bless. JD

Ned,

What a heartbreaking decision .... like the Lady or the Tiger .... not a win-win decision in the picking.

Whatever the outcome, I wish you and your Mom peace and joy with it....

Howdy Ned,

My prayers are with you during this difficult time. I had to face that situation several years ago. It broke my heart also.
