I recently purchased a "jaeger Italy" 45 cal. sungle action pistol.I just love the look of this gun but,I have a problem ???I think the main spring (trigger spring) is broken.Anyone out there Know where I can purchase a new main spring?? I also need a schematic so I can tear down and repair the gun.  Thanks   Yancy

I've owned a Jaeger Intercontinental Dakota 45 Colt since 1966,   for hammer springs and trigger springs you can go to www.gunsprings.com and use the Colt SAA parts for this gun, www.brownells.com also carries these springs, but I prefer ordering from Wolff direct, stay away from the wire trigger  spring and use the flat one instead. you can call this pard, his name is Ken and he works and keeps/makes parts for the Jaeger Dakota, it's his specialty  his company is  "Superior Industries ",  he's a great pard to deal with, he helped me out with getting all new screws for mine. I think he has the springs you need too, I'd call him first.

Howdy YD,
TW is telling you strait on Ken, He is the owner operator of Superior Ind., he will go out of his way to help you, and i know his parts are good and fair price!! He also is a Top Gun in tuning and keeping the old six guns running, I don't think his labor is to bad? I bought a couple Old Hawes Pistols in a box, if I would of looked closer I would not of bought them, so many parts gone. I bought some parts here and there, because I had a bad time finding the parts I needed, after I found Ken, and talked to him on the phone, if I would of found him first I could of saved a $100.00 and not had to fit some of the parts I bought! For what I paid for parts, Ken told me he would of built them for me, and I wouldn't had any more money in them than I ended up having in them,.
Like TW said, give him a call!

I am new to cowboy action shooting and i have a Jaeger Dakota in 45 Colt with a 7.5 inch barrell that is cch. I have been told that this gun is no longer made so what would be my best option for a second gun in terms of action and looks to have a matched set?
