My Wife has waited long enough for her guns

  My wife and I attended the SASS convention this past December. At the convention my wife ordered a set of Cimmarron Model P's .357 with action jobs from Traditional Effects. We paid for them in full by credit card and were promised that we would receive the guns in approximately 4-6 weeks. Well as of today (4/14/05) there is still no sign of them. We have contacted Traditional Effects in the past by phone and each time we were promised that we would receive the guns in a week or so. What worries me now is that they are unreachable by phone, their voicemail box is full and not taking any more messages and their website is temporarily down.

Our credit card was charged immediately, they have our money and yet we don't have the guns. Does anyone have any information with regards to Traditional Effects? Maybe an email address? To be honest we are just plain sick and tired of waiting for what they promised so long ago. HELP!!!!! 

We have posted this message on other sites hoping to get some help.

Scrub Oak Willie, I'd call the credit card company and cancel the charge if they don't give you a shipping invoice number from UPS or FEDEX, and then order the pistols from Ultona on the Spot, you will probably get alot better price from him (PM me if you want his phone number.  Ultona can put in after market springs, but I'd wait and see how they shoot before spending the money on an action job... If they need one, I'd send them to Manatee...

We just went through this with a book that never arrived.

Contact the credit card company and file a disputed charge.  Don't delay, there may be a window where you can no longer dispute the charges.

Have all evidence copied and go into detail when filing the claim.  (keep copies for yourself!).

Wait until your credit card company credits your account back, don't do this yourself by deleting charges you are to be credited off of your billing statement.  Be aware that the credit card company of the place you ordered from will charge them.  They may dispute this and it can go back to you plus interest charges.

Agrees with the others call the credit card company....Remember the power of the internet. If this company is Legitamate, you have power to really hurt them here.

I beleive Tradition Effects is the largest gun dealer for Cimarron and have done business with them on more than one occasion and find it hard to believe what I am hearing. I think a quick call to Cimarron will verify whether there is reason for alarm. Just like Lil Rooster said you have the power of the internet to hurt them, I would make sure before setting out on such a serious undertaking.

  My wife spoke to Cimarron today and they have been trying to reach them also. They said they
have a good amount of their guns and it looks like they will have to get a court order to go down there and get them back.
  Looks like my wife and quite a few others are SOL. Hope the credit card co. comes thru.
