Richards-Mason or '72 Opentop-which is easier to sight for old eyes?

Howdy Pards,

Considering one of these guns.  Personally like the looks of the RM but haven't handled either yet.  In your opinion which of these is easier and quicker to sight with old eyes?  If they still made them I'd opt for the first version or the Richards Mason with the sight on the rear cylinder piece.

My eyes are 63 years old, and they like the older notch-in-the-hammer rear sight better.  Actually, at CAS distances I've found that I use the whole "top edge" of the hammer as the rear sight, rather than just the notch.

Others may (and probably do) have different experiences.

I just try and find the front sight...sometimes it's a bit cloudy at that end :o
