Another (!) Pawn shop Krag

M1899 carbine, 1901 cartouche date, 1901 sight, excellent barrel, complete except for a light coat of varnish and *shudder* approx. 1" of the buttstock cut off and replaced with a recoil pad.  (recoil pad?  With a .30-40 Krag?)   $499!

So many of them around with the wood cut off the other end, to bad you can't "combine" them and have a good one.

Amazing how expensive that 1" of wood is, it was probably worth another $4-500!

Col. Drydock, I may have to contact those folks about the Krag. The FFL that had done business for over 30 years suddenly closed without me knowing. I had given the into Boggs Creek and they mailed the rifle to the place in Arlington. I could get in touch with the outfit in Arlington. I drove over there to find it closed for some time. I contacted Boggs Creek yesterday and they have not received the rifle back. I was really counting on taking it to the Muster this year, I just hope I get the rifle or at least the money I sent them for it.

Oh Crud!  Well, it should be returned as undeliverable.  How did Boggs Creek ship it?  UPS,FedEx, USPS and most any shipper can track it if you have the shipping number.

The guy with the info was gone, I'm gonna call again monday. I got my Trapdoor a couple of weeks ago and it is a honey. I'll keep you posted on this saga.
