Howdy All
It really is a small world.
A guy walked into my store today and we got to talking. He says he is one of Cliff Ketchum's kids. As we talked he told of the family history, Divorces, new wives, etc.
It turns out we lived about 6 blocks from each other and went to the elementary school. He is 2 years younger than I am, but he said His older sister was probably in my class. This would have been in the days of his dad having San Fernando Valley Saddlery.
Wish I had been interested in Leatherwork back then........

It is a small world! Things happen right beside us, and then 20 years later we find out about it! I went to a rural grade school, when I was in the 4th grade my wife now, was in the first grade, never saw her, never cared! 8 years later I meet her in the town she was living in, we started dating and 2 year later we got married!

Two guys showed up at our church within a month of each other a few years ago. After talking about their backgrounds, they discovered they were from the same small town in Minnesota, and went to the same elementary school, at the same time. They both remembered the name of the other one, but neither recognized the other as adults. Small world indeed.

I met my wife in a Resort's Rock & Roll Bar on a lake in Wisconsin back in 1963. In 1996 we bought a home across the lake from where we met. My first words to her were " Do you want to twist".
You need to learn to like all the little everday things like a sip of good whiskey, a soft bed, a glass of buttermilk,  and a feisty old gentleman like myself

I have a friend here in Aromas that I discuss leather with. His father had a shop with another guy and he was raised in the leather environment. I worked for a saddlemaker for a while in the mid-70's who had a partner that died a few years before that. A couple years ago, we realized that his dad and the guy I worked for were the two partners. Very interesting to put all our stories together and get a good picture of how it was.
