"Well, he's big around the middle and he's broad across the rump
Runnin' ninety miles an hour takin' forty feet a jump
Ain't never been caught, he ain't never been treed
Some folks say he's a lot like me."

Thanks pard,

I looked but did not see.

High on the mountain, tell me what do you see?
Bear tracks, bear tracks, looking back at me
You'd better get your rifle before it's too late
The bear's got a little pig and its headed through the gate

The Trainsition is a 65 model Henery with the Kings Port gate  in 66 it went to the Winchester name
it has a solid barrel tube unit / thumb on slider spring is cut off and the front end is fixed in place (does not rotate)
the fore arm slides back and forth / drilled it and put a brass bolt to hold  it in place
has the latter sight / changed it to a 3/4 Buck Horn
have been shooting it since Taylor came out with it
did change to a 2nd generation short stroke kit have had no trouble with it in the F.C. class
but have had some that did not know tell me I could not use it because I had exterial modification so it was illegal

Thanks Folks,

I put my down payment on it last week.  It seemed to bridge the "gap" between between that great look the 1860 Henry has and what I think I need for CAS.

I really appreciate the help from Fox Creek Kid and Peddler Parsons.

Happy Trails,

This rifle certainly makes Mal's rifle in Silverado seem even more authentic.
A work in progress.

Though it is like waving an 8 foot 2 by 4 when on the firing line.  :)

Does work great for long range pistol cartrige shootin'

Happy Trails
