Guns Garrett

I have a #1 Rolling Block rifle I need to replace the stock on, and was wondering if any of you pards may have had an old military rifle you re-stocked for BPCRS or sporting use, and still have the old military stock that you could part with. The suppliers of stocks I've found have either only the buttstock, or strictly target/sporter stocks. The stock on mine is cracked at the wrist, and the forearm has been cut just in front of the first barrel band.  This is an 1869 Navy Rifle, .50-70 re-chambered to .50-90, 31" round barrel, and I would need the iron stock furniture, except for the buttplate and one barrelband & spring.  Any help/leads/offers would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Mustang Gregg

I got one that is off'n a #5 Roller.  It has a lot of rough use & a notch cut in it for some unknown reason.  Unless maybe for a make-shift tactical sling attachment?  E mail me & I'll do my best to describe.

A good source for RRB items is Bill Wescombe, P. O. Box 488, Glencoe, CA  95232.  Phone 209/293-7010.  I have purchased many parts, stocks, barrels, etc. from him over the years for my various military rifles and for the homemade modifications to the RRB's that I have made.  You might give him a try.
