Glad this thread came back up. It reminds me that I want to email BDM about a couple questions. I just got my latest GOTOW magazine last week. I like the mag a lot and have subscribed to it for quite a while. I also enjoy articles by Denis Prisbey.

Shoot had the best photography of any magazine that is cowboy related. I was sorry it went under, but then again a lot of things I liked have gone under lately.

Which issue has you recieved ? Is it the Summer 09 ... ?
I think the last one I got was the Summer issue with the  3:10 TO YUMA GUNS"
artical.
I had to re-subscribe about a month ago. 
Seems like the fall issue is due soon

Major, the one I got last week says fall 2009 on it. On the cover are pictures of the guns used in Lonesome Dove. If you didn't get it, you should email them and they will send it out to you. Inside they have the address of:

From what I can tell, that is the latest issue and is just starting to show up on the stands around here.I am going to miss Jack Lewis, who recently passed away. He wrote all the articles about the old western movie stars, many of whom he knew personally.

Yes, C. Jack Lewis. I didn't know he had passed away until I read that in GOTOW. I met him once, at I think it was Melody Ranch and you are correct that he had known a lot of the early movie and TV personalities. He had some really nice notes on them and I enjoyed reading about their exploits.

It was quite sad enough to read the passings of the personalities in Mr. Lewis's articles.
I looked forward to reading them.
Now, I read he has also passed    here today...I'll miss his insight & memories.
