Thought ya'll might like to see it.Years ago i had a friend that had a leather shop right next door to my dads service station. It was called The Lazy C,owners name was Ben Castillas, sure wish i knew where Ben was now.He used to make alot of fancy rodeo chaps and mountainman gear also, as him and his brother i think did rendevous.
2-7-84 i had him make matching belts and buckles for my wife and duaghter with thier initial on the buckles and nicknames on the belt .My wifes is  CAS=WOMBLY(long o) Carol Ann Son..I know ,wierd last name, had it shortened from Sontag( ;) ) It was around  valentines day. When my daughter was about 2 or 3 i stopped by a roadside flower shop in the car and got the wife a little flower while we were on a drive, the next thing i hear was sobbin and crying from the car seat in the back,i had to turn around and get my duaghter a flower too.Ever since then when mama got duaghter got.

Anyway Ben, where ever you are she only wore it once and has had it tucked away ever since..So here's to Ben and his craftmanship :) ;)

That is a really cool belt Rick. I wish I had had enough foresight to learn from some of the old leatherworkers I have known thru the years.  Had an uncle who braided whips and he tried to show me a half a dozen times when I was younger. By the time I realized what it was worth to have the skill he was gone.
Lost..... I ain't never been lost...... fearsome confused fer a month er two once... but I never been lost.
