Finally, after recovering from shoulder surgery, I got to shoot a match this past Saturday.  What a blast!  Colorado Cowboys are a great group of people to have the pleasure of being around.  I spent about three months picking up guns and gear.  I'm shooting Ruger new Vaqueros, a Marlin 1894 cowboy, all in .357 and an IAC 1887 (now on it's way to Surly Dave in South Carolina to have a drop 2 conversion installed).   I'll post pics of the leather gear I made over on the Leather forum.

thanks All

Howdy WJ,

My congratulations also on your first match. This is such a great hobby. It leads to learning other neat things to do such as reloading, leather working etc.

I saw your leather gear on the Leather Shop Forum here on CAS City and it is outstanding.
You need to learn to like all the little everday things like a sip of good whiskey, a soft bed, a glass of buttermilk,  and a feisty old gentleman like myself

Thanks Johnny,

As soon as I sell a Ruger gp100, I'm buying reloading gear.  Then the questions begin!  I can't wait.
