Carbine barrel band with swivel?

Hi gang,

I visited the Taylor & Co shop at End of Trail. I told them I would like to get a barrel band w/swivel to replace the band on my carbine. No problem they said, its the same as the middle band for the rifle. Early today I received it...and it doesn't fit..It doesn't even go half way up the forestock.

What part do I need? Anyone have a part number or other ID so that I can get what I'm looking for?

Not wanting to sound dumb, but did you turn it around and try it again?  The interior is tapered to match the barrel and stock profile.  It's split as well to accmodate the swivel, so you could spread it a little as well.

Good point Sgt. If I turn mine around, it won't go halfway down the forearm.

Thanks, but turning it around was the first thing I tried...no luck. And the band isn't a "split" band. It's one solid piece.

Any  other suggestions?

You might have to fit it to the stock, taking a litlle wood off the stock to fit it correctly. some times that is the only way.
