Fingers, you must include the Category win I had at the Perry County Regulator's Annual Match in Ikesburg, PA in June of this year.
I also win frequently at the Ozark Posse if J-Bar or Blue Mesa don't show up.

Pst? Are the odds going up or down now?

Dalton Masterson

Well, I actually had 3rd at HOW '08, so that might skew the odds more in your favor.
Looks like Im the underdog.
Now where is my cape...

Back to topic: Congrats again, Fingers!

In all seriousness. Black powder shooting with replica or original cap and ball guns is such a crap shoot each time you go out that any "win" or even better placement in a multi-competitor match is worth bragging about. There are so many things that can go wrong at any time due to the 1850s-60s engineering involved that a match that you have shot without a "stoppage" of some sort is truly a win.  My multi-competitor placings have bee when my guns functioned flawlessly and the others did not.
Dalton, I'll see you at Grand Island. Fingers, I'll see you in Branson if not before. In either case we'll make a lot of smoke and see whose guns run the best

Maybe next year Fingers. My travelin is kind of done for this year, with the little one almost here, and a vacation to Wy after that. It will leave me with just enough vacation time to get deer season in. My wife went to high school in Mo, so she really wants to go back there, and my brother in law is about to go to Leonard Wood for awhile to finish his OCS stuff. Maybe we can make it that way for a monthly in the coming year.

Wow, thats where my wife went to high school, for a while. She was an army kid, so went all over.

He is at Benning now, doing his second part of OCS and hurt his foot, so is going into the next rotation in August hopefully. I think he will be at Ft. LW around the first of the year, then onto Ft. Sill eventually for permanent duty.

Heck if we do make it out to visit him, then maybe we can go shoot a match.

DM
Edit: I was informed I was wrong. It might be around October when he is at LW.
