Happy 4th & Happy Birthday to a Yankee Doodle Dandy.

I served my time in (mostly) peacetime and stood my watch, but never had the terrible decisions to make that you must have.

My you bask in the company of your loved ones today.

You certainly have earned it.
My moniker is my great grandfather's name. He served with the 2nd Florida Mounted Regiment in the Civil War. Afterward, he came home, packed his wife into a wagon, and was one of the first NorteAmericanos on the Frio River southwest of San Antonio ..... Kinda where present day Dilley is ...

Thanks to all of you that replied, it means a lot to me, he meant a lot to me, more than you can imagine. He was a rough man, but a good man and I miss him dearly.
