Howdy gents,
The local paper here reprinted a report of 4th of July festivities from Tucson in 1880.
The events consisted of things that I could understand, sack race, 3 leg race, horse race,
pony race, but two events puzzled me. one was, an "Indian footrace" the other a "Chinese race".
Anybody have any idea what these two events consisted of?

The Indian Foot Race..is cross country , an open field long distance race,  point A  to finish at point B ,  not a closed course.

I would think, from the era, the Chinese Race would be to see who could wash, dry and iron a shirt the fastest!!! ::) ::) ::)

You may now call me all the names you can think of ;D ;D ;D
