Hi guys, now don't get me wrong, this is not meant as a criticism but, I am amazed by the number of reloading queries coming in to these forums. :o
I can only assume that, since the shortage of cheap, available factory ammo, that a lot of shooters in your country have suddenly had to enter this field and they don't have a clue how to do it. ???
Over here in Britain we have more or less always had to reload to make our sport economically viable, ( .44mag,,,£15 per 20!!!). :o
Do not your dealerships hand out loading info on purchase of powders? ( Good tip if they want repeat business) ;)
As seen in previous posts, a little knowledge is a dangerous thing,,especially in this sport.

My advice, for what it's worth, and I give this advice to all my club's newbies, is "if you don't know something,,ASK!!)
Find someone in your local club who is competent and experienced and beg, borrow or steal from their fund of knowledge.

Any dedicated shooter worth his salt will be only too happy to help! ;D

I agree with you, any seller of powder I've been at has those "FREE" pamplets from the makers.  Problem is that for many folks it is easier to get on the net and just ask on a forum board.  Notice how many ask for imformation that is easy to get on their first post.

And yes, I mean to critize some.  There is a standing joke among some of us knowledgable reloaders who think some folks would sign into a car forum and there first question on their new sports car would be, "What's the third pedal over on the left." ;)

Don't get me wrong, I am glad to help new folks but would prefer they did a little reading and research first.

Amen to that, brother. Do you think we make it too easy, sometimes ???
Should we just point them in the direction they should take, so they can learn for themselves?
Being of Scottish descent, my philosophy in life is,,,I ain't paying for it if I can make it myself! ;D
So therefore, not only have I saved myself a lot of money,,,I have become quite adept at most DIY projects. ;)
( Which, sometimes, unfortunately, brings the question,,,"Brian, can you just,,,,,?") ::)

Yes, we should, somebody who has no idea about reloading should do some serious reading and try to get with someone who reloads if possib;e.  The guy that got me started 30 some years ago, would not show me a dang thing till I was well read.
