Whose selling cast bullets, lubed for black powder, around 240 grain,at a reasonable price? For my .44 Magnum

If not lubed, I will pan lube myself.REASONABLE PRICE is the key word.

Several good bullet casters are listed on my web site.  http://www.biglube.com.  For the 44 Cal, I think Springfield Slim will serve you well.  Click on my banner below and click on the "Links" section.

The heaviest 44 caliber Big Lube bullet you are going to find is the Mav-Dutchman bullet which weighs 200 grains.
That's bad business! How long do you think I'd stay in operation if it cost me money every time I pulled a job? If he'd pay me that much to stop robbing him, I'd stop robbing him.

Ya probably inherited every penny ya got!

Bushrod,
You may have to quit thinking in terms of Smokeless Powder bullets.  As Driftwood pointed out the Mav Dutchman is a 200 gr bullet, and it is that primarily because of the deep and wide lube groove.  I modeled it once and determined it would weigh about 230 gr if it had the traditional narrow and shallow groove like some 240gr bullets I have for my .44 mags.

You may be able to find some 240 grain bullets that you can get unlubed,  but you won't have enough lube to keep a rifle bore fouling soft if they have the small groove.  Then you have to do things like add lube cookies or wads under the bullet.  By the time it's all said and done it would be easier to get bullets from Springfield Slim.  Parson de la Croix at Parsons Pills has some 205 gr two groove bullets that work pretty well,  but I think he sells more Mav Dutchman designs or something that looks just like them.  I know he'd sell you unlubed bullets.

I know there is a single large groove  230 grain Lyman bullet meant for CAS and by the look of the lube groove it would work for black powder, but I don't know who casts them.  Those heavier bullets get longer and you have to watch your overall length in some weapons.

I have a 240 grain 44 mould that has a larger then normal lube groove but by no means is a Big Lube Bullet. If 28.00/250 plus shipping is considered reasonable to you then you can e-mail me at mark@whyteleatherworks.com, and I can send you a pic of it. It is not on my website. And yes, I can do them as-cast cheaper if you like. But pan lubing won't size the bullet.

Thanks Slim, Can't wait to get them! If you could only magically come up with large pistol primers!!!!

If they don't become available in the next 6 months I may have to resort to magic! I do have about 10,000 #11 caps so I guess I coud shoot my C&B pistols quite a while instead.

Hey Springfield, I was just about ready to start shooting Frontiersman when my local store sold me 2000 LP primers last week.
