A really good day...

I've been wanting to pick up a steel framed '58 for some time, and really blew it late this winter when I didn't have the cash on hand to pick up a like new Pietta on consignment for $175 with some accoutrements, including a holster.  A day later I showed up with the cash, but the gun was gone.  Imagine my joy today when I walked in the same place and found a really solid and clean (not quiet as nice as the first one) Pietta '58 for $119.  No, I have no idea where the 9 came from...  Mind you I can use the $1.00 as well as the next guy, well, actually, here in New York, the $1.08!  Anyway, they even had the 300 gr. hollowpoints for my Contender 45-70 that I actually went there for as well, and I picked up 50 once fired Hornet cases for $10.00.  Not a bad day.  Had to share it with someone who'd understand.

Yep, it sure is.  I got really lucky one other day and grabbed an ASM Walker with a stainless barrel and cylinder for $129  (again the "9"?) that I don't believe had ever been fired, but was labeld "used." On the other hand, you don't find these things at the big box stores - if you're going to pan for gold, you need to hit the creek beds, and in this case, support your local gun shops.  I rarely walk out empty handed, at the very least, I can afford, and always use another box of .22 shells even if they don't have what I want.
