Overall ... Not Impressed
The media is called, Plastic Abrasive Blasting Media (Amino Urea (Carbamide) Resin ... $19 for 5 lbs
Two Hour Test Picture Above (Left to Right)
* Three 44-40 cases shot with smokeless.  Outside OK and Inside fairly clean
* One 44 Mag - same as the 44-40's
* Three 45 Colt reloads with inverted primers needing to be dissected that I put in the 2 hour rotary test
* One 45 Colt, inverted primer, that was not in the test ... shown for comparison how groody all 4 Colts were
* Two 45-70 cases that had been previously cleaned but have been hanging around for about a year
The Medias, Left to Right
* The Harbor Freight Plastic Blasting Media ... the stuff is too light being a plastic and the small size of the pieces.  If it was heavier stuff, might have a chance as a good cleaning media.  It is so light, it adheres to the sides of the drum, in the slot for the rubber lid seal and on the bottom of the rubber lid.  Truthfully, the stuff iis a PITA to use as a cleaning media with the solution
* The Kramer 2mm Ceramic Triangle media that I have been using doing a great clean job with the Strat-O-Sheen burnishing solution and a 1/4 TSP to reduce the pH down to 7.45

So there you have it and... back to the store for a refund

Most Esteemed Professor Marvel:
Harbor Freight will accept even tools that have grease on them or dull broken blades... buy in the AM, use the tool for the repair and return in the PM.
Now Sir, my return will be short about 10 gms or so of the original 5 lbs.  What didn't go down the drain is drying out as I type! ;D
Reason for Like New Container Return ... Decided not to use the stuff and tis a Pure Fact!

Ah My Dear JB -

You are, as always, far too kind to this humble babbler and scrivener of "Unsinn" .

>PS: My Dear Mademoiselle, stands about 6'2", has multiple tatoos, a deep voice and a shot beard.

egads, a "shot beard"! that is one intense set of facial hair!

I can attest that the Tomato Stake in question is safely wrapped in a protective covering and ensonced in a lazy-boy lounger which has been pressed into service as a storage device whilst we finish remodelling :-(

due to familial emergencies and events beyond my control fun projects were put on hold for some months. But never fear, the remodel is now nearly complete and I am even now considering several single shot actions at my disposal, one of which I will fit said stake.

Perhaps I will name this one: "Tomato Stake" in your honor :-)

Howdy John Boy,

Did you run that fine size media wet or dry?

From his description, I would guess wet:

Too bad it wouldn't work out.  I have access to the plastic abrasive stuff and was advised against it for brass cleaning by the factory rep.  I'm still waiting for the 3/16 or 5mm stuff.

Thanks,
