My Sharps is a Cimarron imported Pedersoli. Model 74, 45-70 with a tapered barrel...the same as the Billy Dixon but was not sold as the BD

I have read (not sure if true) that Cimarron imports a higher grade of Pedersoli than other importers...or say Cabela's.

The rifle you are looking at is most likely a Pedersoli and if it is anything like mine, it is a good one. I love mine, it has a larger hammer than the Shiloh....I have used mine for hunting and carry it on my horse. It looks 120 years old since I stripped the blueing with vinegar but it shoots great!.

Howdy Pards,
Cimarron Imports  both the Pedersoli  and the Armi Sport Sharps! They offer several different Models from both co.
I have a Armi Sport Sharps, mine is called a 1866 Sharps and it has the Big hammer where My 1874 IAB has the small Hammer!
I know people don't like the IAB's but my shoot better than me!
Warren, if the price is right you can't go wrong, no matter who made it, and if it is a Pedersoli it will be AWESOME!
I just wanted to let you know they do import 2 brands and lots of models ! Go to Cimmaron firearms co, and look them over.
Later ACE
p.s. Sharps never had a 1866 production run, but theey did make a few proto types in 1866 and a lot other years!
