Well guys, the Neurologist gave me a clean bill of health on Friday. It's been a little more than 7 weeks since the stroke, and by their measurements, they consider me "Recovered" I still feel some effects, but they are getting less each day. I did some shooting for the first time since the stroke yesterday (May 25th) and shot five stages.

I started back playing guitar this Sunday, along with the preaching, which I started doing 3 weeks ago. By the time noon rolled around, I was pretty tuckered out, but it felt good.

I rode my scoot a little while Sunday afternoon. Both the shooting and the ridie felt a little awkward, but good at the same time. My bike is a Street Gilde, so it's pretty heavy. Muscling it around made me realize I've got a ways to go to get my strength back. My arms are sore from shooting, but it sure is a good sore. Now it's back to work on some leather!

I am really blessed to have recovered so quickly, and I do appreciate all the prayers and well wishes. God bless, JD

Great news JD!!

Wow what a fast recoverery,  God has a special purpose for you.
Sounds like your doing everything right and know your limitations.
We are all glad your getting back to full strength and that we can now let down a little and let you take up some of the leather slack.   ;D

Great to have you up and running full speed again.

Howdy JD,

That is fantastic news! Its good to see you back in the saddle again. Somebody up there likes you.
You need to learn to like all the little everday things like a sip of good whiskey, a soft bed, a glass of buttermilk,  and a feisty old gentleman like myself

JD, its time to strap on them spurs and start hookin' him like you can feel that gold buckle again. Just don't overdo it.

Jamie, I'm glad you didn't say "Shoot the Preacher"!

Thanks guys for the kind words and well wishes

WC, you bet I am being careful with the bike! So far I'm just riding the neighborhood streets. It's sort of like learning to ride all over again, except with a large bike.

God bless, JD
