So are your holsters made for a 2" gunbelt? Most gunbelts are 2 1/2 to 3" wide. Do you want a one piece belt or a Ranger style 3 piece?

Looking historically, gunbelts came in many shapes, sizes and widths.

I've made belts ranging from barely 1 3/4" to 3" depending on period, style desired, loops etc.

I'd say there are a few decisions to make first, pard:

1) Ranger style (billet and chape) or straight or tapered.
2) Historically correct or Hollywood (buscadero).
3) Loops or no loops.
4) Stitched or laced loops.
5) Single thickness, lined or moneybelt.

Period chosen and some of the decisions above will help dictate buckle selection and the like.

well pards the holster pattern is out of the Al Stohlman How to make holsters book its the .38 colt police positive 4 inch barrel
the belt loop is 2 inch so i was thinkin maybe a ranger style with maybe 20 bullet loops straight with stitched loops and just single thickness
Thanks pards for the help on the different styles i didnt think there were so many LOL
