Feathers, I really like the Sharpie brand markers for performing several tasks at the leather bench.  I especially like to do black contrast on most of my colors and use the Sharpies for all sorts of precision touch ups here.  Before sewing with black thread I always run a 'fine point' Sharpie around the stitch groove and it adds tremendously to the finished look.  Since the Sharpies can now be had in such a variety of colors this would work with almost any color thread.  They are always excellent for quickly reaching in to that little tight spot and applying just a tiny spot of color that was missed.  Some times my old eyes are just a bit short of sharp and I have trouble seeing layout lines, this is when the right color Sharpie in X-Fine comes in handy for outlining that pattern with a color that disappears under dye.  Just a great product and now they even offer a Compass that accepts Sharpies instead of pencils!

Howdy, Feathers. Welcome to the forum. Glad to have you with us. Interesting idea on the pen. I may have to try that one of these days. Looking forward to seeing more of your posts.
