Fun this weekend

My pard from my unit invited me over to his place to do some shooting this weekend, and man did I have some fun. We shot various guns, both cowboy and modern types and he gave me a tour of his spread. He has a nice set up. Got about a dozen horses and mules including 3 draft horses, tons of traps for wild critters, and at least 6 old wagons in various stages of restoration. He is very interested in CAS and in fact he is the one that helped talk me back into this game. I had given up and even let my SASS membership expire due to time and duty contraints. This weekend is the first time I fired my '73 rifle since 2005, and man it is accurate even out to 300 yards. I wish he lived closer than an hour and a half away.

Right smack in the middle of nowhere. Literally. I forgot to mention that my Lab/Shepherd pup is not scared of gunfire either. Now to teach him to fetch ducks in water.
