New 12" Rodeo Just Came In

I got my special order 12" Rodeo in today. I am truly surprised at how well balanced this thing really is. I expected it to be not so balanced as some other 12" guns that I have. I ordered it with a case colored hammer to match my other Rodeos, and I think it looks really sharp. As soon as I clear off my work bench from shooting clays, I will get out a picture.

Imagine your new gun with about 8"-9" of steel wire frame sticking out of the backstrap, and that will give you some idea of the only type of cartridge revolver that we Brits are allowed to own and use.
And unfortunately it is made by Taurus!

USFA seems to be good with special order flexibility. I'd like a Rodeo in 38/40 7.5" barrel, but can't make myself part with the coin. What is that hole the back of the hammer?

The hole in the back of the hammer is to facilitate the removal/replacement of the firing pin. It replicates the first generation Colt hammer.
