Winter Range?

Howdy,

I'll be heading off to Winter Range, the SASS National Shoot this coming Wednesday. It's also a time I get to visit with my folks, who live outside of Phoenix, and to enjoy my Mom's cooking again. Anybody else headed that way? I always enjoy meeting the real person, after reading their posts here on the forum.

SS -- Me too!  I won't be far from Mason, since we're gonna be on the same posse   Somebody around the Cart Corral will know where the ladies (me and Bama Belle) that shoot BP are.    We'll have purple feathers in our hats.  There's gonna be lots of pards from CAS City and TFS there.  It's bound to be a hoot 'n a half!

Cactus Cris has been installing a black powder cleaning station at the corral, is he doing that again at Winter Range? I like him anyways, in spite of his causing all those charcoal burners to congregate there<G>

I have to be in Phoenix 2/16 through 2/19.  I would love to audint the shoot and leave Sunday.  I am going to work on the details.  Ho Haw.  Could even meet . . . . well lots of folks.

In the past at Winter Range, there has been a small charge for parking (that goes to county deputies that run the traffic control) and after that you're free to walk in, watch &/or spend your money on the vendors. It's right off the freeway (I 17, as I remember) so it probably would be easy to do, as long as you have a car while you're in Phoenix. It's at the Ben Avery Range.

Never had a chance to get down there, do the big vendors like Jim Boeke from River Jct. set up on the vendors row?

Jim Boeke no longer attends Winter Range, and I miss being able to buy directly from him, as opposed to through the catalog.
