38-55 barrel

I have about 7 45-70's in different types of guns. Got a High-Wall 45-70  and was wondering if it would be better and cheaper to re-barrel or sleeve it in 38-55, if that is even possible.

Reline will run about $300. I can get 1 in 14", 1 in 16", and 1 in 18" with a .375" groove diameter.  I think the .379" groove is 1 in 18 only. Liners are hammer forged.
New 30" octagon barrel fitted to your action and blue will be close to $500.
