Hair of bat. Eye of newt. LOL. Some of these recipes do set one to chuckling. Especially when I tell the wife I need to get online and buy some hypernic. And Logwood.

She asked me, and rightly so, "Aren't all logs wood?"

One of these years I'll actually get the time to try this stuff. Thanks for pointing out references like these Chuck. Without folks like you, I don't know if the chemistry of leatherworking would become a lost art. God bless ya!

I agree. Chuck works hard to use traditional methods, and it shows in his work. It's also having a profound effect here. Look how many folks are experimenting with vinagaroon and walnut dyes!
