Just happened to run across this on Gunbroker a few days ago.  Been looking for years and this is the first one I've actually seen for sale.  A small shop in PA had it.  He said it had been on order for over a year and it was one of only 4 made by USFA last year.
Haven't shot it yet but so far I like it...fit and finish are usual USFA quality.  However, the mainspring feels like it came off a tank.  Definitely needs to be lightened.  I'll let you know how it shoots.

Definately a rare bird there.  Congrats!

Gorgeous gun! Let us know how it feels!  :D

You can lighten that mainspring by following my procedure outlined here:

The spring I an talking about is a trigger/bolt spring, but I do the mainsprings in the same way. Start by taking off .05 to .06 off each side. Then polish the hell out of it.

They've been advertising these for years.  Nice to see they are finally making some.   How's the reach to the hammer?  Longer or shorter than a regular SAA?

Snake River James

Shot the gun yesterday.  Accuracy is outstanding.  I could routinely shoot 5 shot groups you could cover with a 50 cent piece at normal CAS pistol target ranges and that was one handed.  Sights are dead on.  The gun is comfortable and easy to shoot either with one or two hands.  One handed, the spur on the backstrap raps the web of your hand pretty good with normal .45 Colt loads. But it was not all that bothersome. With lighter .45 S&W (Schofield) loads it didn't hit the web much.    Two handed was very comfortable.
The grip shape makes the gun come back and up without rolling in the hand like the SAA does.  Because of the grip shape, you tend to grip the gun higher on the backstrap than an SAA.  This put the hammer within easy reach both one and two handed, and I have pretty small hands.

The gun fits my hands very well and was a natural pointer for me.  There were absolutely no malfunctions.  Everything locks up tight.  My only "complaint" is the heavy mainspring.  I put a temporary spacer under the mainspring until I can lighten it.  It helped a lot but even so is still to heavy.

Thanks for the report, Snake River James.  ;)   I have admired the looks of the Omni from the first time I saw a picture of one. Now with your report, it makes me want all that much more!
