If I were buying this I'd want to look it over REAL good concerning the barrel length.  ;)

1860

yeah,  I just spent 40 minutes drooling through that sight.  There are some real treasures in there, one really nice looking RM conv.   Then I got to the Winchesters, I know more about them than revolvers, the guy writing those adds could make a Ford Pinto sound more valuable than a 1963 split window corvette.  Don't get me wrong, there were some nice ones but one had an obvious stock change that didn't come close to fitting or match in finish to the forend, he rated it VG+toexcell or something like that.  Still it is a nice site and thanks for the link..

When you get own a ways, there is also an Open Top that had 2 inches "added back" to the barrel.  I can't help but wonder just how well that worked??
Sometimes it pays to look REAL CLOSE before you "invest" in an antique.
