Something else I ran across today while browsing the net.

I have never got into this Airsoft craze...but who knows it might be fun to set up a couple of old phone books and play in the house when the wife is not home. ;D ::) ;D

Not a bad looking gun to be plastic but I do like the box.

Lot of info about it on the website....

I had no idea there was anything like this available. I'm not going to run out and get one but I can see the benefits of teaching your kids with one.

I practice all my SWAT style stuff with my friends with airsoft.  It's just safer that way and the neighbors don't care how often I practice in the back yard.  And that was in California!!  My 1911s I use in Airsoft I custom made to be exactly like my real ones.  They are only 1 ounce lighter too!

Okay, now the sixty-four dollar question: where can I buy these things?

The link doesn't open anything and I can't seem to find a US dealer anywhere.

Anyone know of a local shop in the Ontario, California area?

Been all over the web looking.  Nothing from the UK or Japan about ordering them.   One site said Yahoo Auction Japan might have something, but I could not heads nor tails of it.  Would be a nice piece to start a little kid on.  If anybody has better luck finding an importer or how to use the Japan auction, please post.

Okay, the trick to buying airsoft guns that aren't normal merchandise is to become buddy-buddy with a small mom-and-pop airsoft store.  Not the big ones.  There is a custom one in Ontario, Cal called "The Q-Project" or something like that, they helped me make my 1911s.  Very good shop.  They may be able to get them.

The trick isn't finding where what sells them, but finding someone that is willing to order them for you.  Everyone sells Tanaka equipment. It's just are they willing.  Also, for the price though, you could buy a real one.  Just an fyi.

Forty Rod:

You can order directly from these overseas websites.  Shipping comes in around 30 to 60 dollars, and it's fast.  Generally about 3 days.  I have ordered from WGC shop about a dozen times, never without issue.  The direct link to their website is:  www.wgcshop.com

There is all sorts of order information on the website.  They are a very reputable company.  There are several others out there overseas as well:

Willie:

Airsoft was my sport before I got into shooting.  It was huge in the Northeast.  Funny you mention the Q-Project.  I have a beautiful AICS replica they built:

I have a bunch of airsoft items for sale if you want to contact me privately.  Some nice tactical gear and guns - most of it all for a SWAT impression.  Here are some teasers:

Forgot to mention also:

They do make shooting timers specifically calibrated to the noise range and level of airsoft gas guns.  Google should turn up the retailer that has them.  There are some You Tube vids of people running IPSC stages with airsoft.  Western Arms makes replicas of most of the race guns as well.

also, don't bother with evike or airsoftgi... they're great airsoft companies but they won't go and order something for you special like this would be.

That would be a great addition to my small collection & my kid would love to learn to shoot with it too "she's always wanting to shoot my .22 Ruger but loves the look of my short barreled Remington copy."  :D

Couldn't find the place, Willie.  Found a couple of others and they must be doing real well in this financial crisis, because they promised to call me back but were so busy making money they didn't have time.  I'd like to get one of those Remington deringers just to fill a spot until I get the real thing, black or nickel, but I can't seem to find anyone to take my money.

Hey Forty,

yeah, it's just a question of if they're willing to help you.  right now, actually the airsoft stores because they are so specialized are either doing very well, or doing very poor.  Rumor has it Airsoft GI is doing pretty good.  they may be able to assist you.  I've had a hard time finding someone to special order these for me as well... so you're not alone.

I'll keep you guys updated if I find one that will help.
